Bucktoberfest Is Back

There’s something about Fest Season.

The beer gets a little maltier. The mugs get a little bigger. Lederhosen suddenly become acceptable attire in Southeast Texas. And for one Saturday in September, we get to throw one hell of a party at Buckstin Beaumont.

Our third annual Bucktoberfest is Saturday, September 19, and you’re invited.

Doors open at 11 AM for a full day of German-style beer, great food, competitions, kids' activities, and plenty of reasons to raise a stein with your friends and family.

And as always, Bucktoberfest is FREE to attend and family-friendly.

First Things First: The Beer

We love lager around here, so Fest Season gives us an excuse to really show it.

Festbier, Bucktoberfest Märzen, Smoked Bucktoberfest, 409 Lager, Frau Nau, Fit Bird and more will be flowing throughout the day.

If your usual order is an Easy Breesy, this is the day to venture out a little. Grab a Festbier. Try the Märzen. Get a little smoke in your life. This is what these beers were made for.

At noon, we’ll officially kick off Bucktoberfest with our welcome ceremony and ceremonial cask tapping.

If Wurst Comes to Wurst...

We called our friends at Jack’s Pak-It.

This year, we’ve had the pleasure of partnering with one of Southeast Texas’ favorite butcher shops for the debut of their German-style bratwurst, available exclusively at Bucktoberfest.

Good lager. Good bratwurst.

Some things don't need to be complicated.

Bring the Kids. Seriously.

Bucktoberfest has always been about gathering together, and that means the whole family.

Our friends at The Arc of Greater Beaumont will be joining us with kids activities including balloon animals, face painting, a photo booth, pretzel necklaces and more.

At 3 PM, the kids take center stage for the Kids Balloon Toss.

Come Prepared to Compete

Lederhosen? Dirndl? Some completely ridiculous interpretation of Oktoberfest attire?

We want to see it.

The Oktoberfest Costume Contest starts at 2 PM, followed by the Wurst Eating Contest at 4 PM and our Steinholding Competition at 5 PM.

Bragging rights are absolutely on the line.

Great Beer Deserves Great Music

This year we're adding something new to the Bucktoberfest lineup.

At 6:30 PM, we're turning the evening over to original Southeast Texas music.

Our Original Singer-Songwriter Series will feature Josh Palermo and Jerry Mullin, two local songwriters bringing their own stories, influences and perspectives to the Buckstin stage.

Josh is a Beaumont native whose songwriting pulls from the Texas tradition while carrying some of the energy and attitude of punk rock.

Jerry grew up in Port Neches, learned guitar from his four older brothers, and has spent years turning life experiences into songs worth sharing.

Different generations. Different influences. Same corner of Texas.

We can't think of a better way to close out Bucktoberfest.

The Rundown

Festbier merch will also be available throughout the event.

Three years in, this has become one of our favorite days of the year. It brings together a lot of what we love about Buckstin: lager, food, music, family, local businesses and the Southeast Texas community that continues to show up for us.

So grab the family. Grab your friends. Find the lederhosen you swore you'd never wear again.
